Welcome to the Campaign

Meet Joshua Pennington, Candidate for House Representative for District 33. Joshua is an up-and-coming leader looking to enact change in our communities through a traditional grassroots campaign. Joshua is here to serve, and he believes that together, we can create a brighter future. This is more than just a campaign for a candidate. This is a campaign for our communities.

Joshua's Main Priorities

Growing up in a family of volunteer firefighters, Joshua has firsthand knowledge of the value that our town's volunteer firefighters and other first responders provide to our communities. Not only do they protect us and ensure our safety, but they also provide our communities with events, resources, and help to preserve the identities of the towns we all live in and love. If elected he will seek to ensure that the needs of our first responders are brought to the attention of the Legislature.

Joshua understands the vital need to balance between building towards the future, while not leaving behind what makes our towns and communities so unique. If elected he will support efforts to preserve both the historical and natural aspects of our towns, including our beaches, rivers, marshlands and agricultural industries. He will also seek to balance these efforts with the rising necessity of improving our infrastructure within and around our towns, so that citizens may benefit from more accessible utilities, including water. Joshua's priorities are with the needs of the people within the district, and future generations to come.

Joshua's personal experiences, and his professional experience in working with individuals with disabilities makes him a strong candidate to advocate for the needs and rights of those in our district who experience disabling conditions. Joshua also has many beloved family members who are also senior citizens, who were pivotal in his upbringing. He understands that many of our communities are home to senior citizens who are faced with limited incomes and resources, and that they also face many challenges. If elected Joshua will seek to support legislative efforts to broaden avenues for individuals with disabilities and seniors not only for the supports needed to live well and protect their interests, but to also protect their right to live meaningfully and share in the communities they live in.
